I registered as an auto-entrepreneur, when can I start work?

I would like to work in a particular bar. I have registered with auto-entrepreneur, and put serveuse down as my main activity. I am now waiting to hear back from INSEE, once I get my SIRET am I able to start straight away? Do I then give the bar a facture at the end of every month for the hours I have done there? And what sort of paperwork do I have to keep on the work I do there? I would also like to sing, but understand that I cannot do this through the auto-entrepreneur scheme? What other route would you recommend I take to declare gigs (I will be doing a couple of gigs a month).
