How to choose an online bank

Hello, I have a personal account on BNP which I opened 3 months ago today. I’ve been trying to open an account for work on HelloBank. Their registration system was down for quite a long time and eventually, I managed to make my request a few weeks ago.

I didn’t hear back in weeks and eventually got through to a person who told me it had been rejected because I’d only been with BNP for two months on the date of application and should wait for to be on month 3 to apply.

So, I went to apply this morning. Once again, their system for BNP clients (it’s a shortcut) was down. I tried three different browsers.

I’m worried that I need to enter professional account details on Impots.gouv (first declaration in July) and on Lautoentrepreneur. The ME is now 3 months old, and I am afraid of getting into trouble if I don’t have bank details in their yet.

My conundrum is as follows - do I insist on getting an account with HelloBank, which could potentially mean I would only be able to enter bank details within the next month (if they fix their registration system) or should I opt for Boursorama. I’ve been told HelloBank’s customer service is much nicer.

Sorry for such a long message - I just thought it might be of interest to anyone wanting to follow the same path. HelloBank don’t tell you that you need to have had an account with BNP for three months, and I got no notification of rejection.

As such, I don’t get the sense that HelloBank customer service is particularly good…
