How should my UK clients pay my French business?

Most of my clients for my business registered in France will live in the UK. It is easier and cheaper if they pay money into a UK bank account which I could then transfer in a lump sum for 8 British Pounds to the French bank account which I am in the process of setting up.

  1. Is there a problem with doing this?
  2. Is there another alternative?

If clients pay money direct to my French account it will involve them in a minimum charge of 8 British Pounds per transaction which I would have to pay by deducting it from their bill. Probably an annual cost of 1,200 British Pounds which I would like to avoid if possible.
