I am looking at registering as an auto-entrepreneur to test the business opportunities in France. I have been self-employed in the UK for the past 10 years fitting kitchens, bathrooms, plastering, tiling and general building work and property maintenance, working for private clients and within retirement properties. I have been asked to renovate a property for an English couple I know and a couple of other people I have met.
- What is the best code to register as?
- Do I just need liability insurance as per the UK?
- Is there a personal allowance you can earn before tax as per UK, e.g. earn 30,000 euros personal allowance 10,000 euros pay tax on 20,000 euros?
- What other charges need to be paid?
- Is a letter from my accountant good enough proof I have been trading as a business?
- Do you have to file monthly, quarterly or yearly for tax purposes?
