How do I register as an agent commercial and chambre/table d’hotes business in France

I went to register at Greffe for setting up as an agent commercial in France and also asked about registering as a chambre/table d’hotes business. I was told I could not register as an agent commercial without my carte vitale and was not able to register the chamber/table d’hotes at Greffe. Now really confused as I’ve been advised by different people that Greffe was the correct place to register both businesses. Please advise.
