How do I get a permanent INSEE number?

I moved to France last year and you kindly registered my business as auto-entrepreneur starting in October 2015. I have a letter from RSI / Mutuelles du Soleil saying il est donc essentiel de proceder a une verification complete at a une mise a jour de votre dossier and asking me to contact them mentioning my INSEE (Institut national de la statistique et des études économiques) number beginning 170030.

However when my wife phoned them she was told this was a provisional number and they needed my permanent number to proceed. How do I obtain my permanent INSEE number and who will issue it?
