How do I close down an auto-entrepreneur business?

I have decided to retire and close down my business and have the links to the website as specified by you, but I wondered what comes next. I have just completed and paid my net enterprise quarterly declaration, for the months Jan, Feb and March and am about to fill in our tax returns for last year, declaring my income (business in my name only). If I find the online form too difficult as I do not speak French, would I be able to visit the RSI to do this personally? I opted to prepay my tax, and I also wondered if I should fill in this income as vous or conjoint on the form 2042 CK as I am the conjoint on the main tax form. Once you complete the declaration online to close the business, does this filter on down, i.e. to things such as the tax professionalle and carte vitale or do I have to contact other organisations?

The one thing that put me off registering as a business in France, was the fear that at the end, I would have problems detaching myself from all the French administration nightmares. In fact it may well be worth writing a blog, it would perhaps do one of 2 things, encourage or discourage prospective entrepreneurs, especially those of us who have to return to tight fixed incomes.
