how do I charge for sold goods?

I do garden work and usually invoice just for a service, I have bought plants for a client and wish to add to her invoice. As this is ‘sale of goods’ I will have to pay different tax at the end of year.
What percentage should I charge, on top of the cost of the plants to my client, to cover my additional costs?
