Holiday Abroad with pending carte vitale

I am a bit concerned as I will go on a month holiday abroad in the EU and I yet to have to receive my carte vitale (sent in the documents for identity verification in the beginning of April).
What can I do about this risk of not obtaining health care in case of an emergency?
