Employing part-time workers as an auto-enterpreneur

I have an auto-enterpreneur and need to hire somebody to help be a few hours per week. I had a look at the TESE (Titre emploi service entreprise) option, but it looks still a bit complex to enroll and maintain.

Can I just pay someone directly based on the invoice they provide and the worker takes care of social charges and taxes? This is something I imagine a freelancer would do.
