Does becoming an auto-entrepreneur affect entitlement to CPAM?

My husband receives a retirement pension from UK and Guernsey and has a French numéro de sécurité sociale after applying for his carte vitale with S1 form. He would like to supplement our income by offering individual music lessons or hypnotherapy sessions. Does he have to register as an auto-entrepreneur, and if so, how does this affect his entitlement to CPAM system? The music lessons or therapy may be not be regular and therefore he does not want to lose entitlement for healthcare under CPAM. Is there an alternative to auto-entrepreneur that would be more appropriate?
