Does a chambre d’hotes and gite business have to affiliate to RSI?

I have a chambre d’hotes and gite business in France. I have received 2 letters, the first one is from RSI (Notification d‘affiliation au RSI), the other is from Direction Generale des finances publiques I assume this is regarding my Impots. Do I have to affiliate to RSI and is usual to receive a letter from Direction Generale des finances publiques regarding creation de votre activite professionnelle.
