Do we need to have liability insurance?

My husband is starting a small auto-entrepreneur business selling concrete garden ornaments, and I am going to be selling cakes. Do we need any sort of insurance? Fingers crossed we don’t, I can’t really think of any reason, but don’t want to not be covered. Costs must be kept down as these are only tiny businesses.
