Do I need to take out private healthcare in France?
I’m trying to get into the health care system in France prior to opening a business in France - I have two children under two years old. We’ve just moved to France and our plans to start paying French taxes won’t realistically happen over the next few months. As you can see from other posts to do we want to do gites by next year and my husband wants to start working here so needs to register but in the meantime I want to be in the system.
I’ve been asked to get an S form, however the UK are not issuing this now only a legislation letter which they send both English and French translation. It basically says UK is not liable for our health care and then relies in the French system to put us in their system? The lady was not aware of this and seemed concerned that I would have to take out a private healthcare in France?
