Do I have to register my business with the Chamber of Commerce?

I am confused about the issue of auto-entrepreneurs in France needing to register their business with the Chamber of Commerce. In a reply you wrote on the forum on 31 December you said that existing auto-entrepreneurs must register with the Chambre de Commerce. However, in another reply dated 4 October you said Professions liberales do not have to be added to the register. My activity is classified as profession liberale auto-entrepreneur - can you please clarify if I need to register my business with the Chamber of Commerce in France?
