Correction of digital invoices

I use an online invoicing software that allows me to correct invoices even after I issued them (instead of cancelling them with a credit note). I have done this a couple of times in the past.

I presume that was not fully legal. I’m not sure if my invoicing software (free version of invoicely) has any trace of this. Is this something I could get into trouble for at an eventual control? Is there anything I can do about this retroactively?
