Contract requirements in France with US client

I’ve just registered as an individual entrepreneur (artist/author), and I am prepared to sign the contract for my first project.
It’s a contract for the provision of services (research and creative writing). It will be signed with client from the USA, and thus it will be in two languages (French/English).
My client is satisfied with the way the contract is written now, but I would like to make sure that the contract complies with the French laws and rules. Are there particular requirements for contracts in France? something which might be different from the USA?
