Compulsory accounting course through chambre des metiers?

I am in the process of setting up my own business in France. Pole Emploi have actually been really helpful and sent me to a consulting agency, who have been following me through the process. At our penultimate meeting, my consultant informed me that before I could start selling my wares on my website, I would have to go to my local chambre de commerce / metiers and follow a short accountancy course? Is this correct?
