Change from ME to SARL

My partner is changing from ME to SARL. He wants to set up as quickly as possible but we know that he has to close his ME first. Please can you let me know:

  1. How long approximately does it take to close an ME?
  2. Can closing the ME all be done online here https://www.autoentrepreneur.urssaf.fr/portail/accueil.html or are there other steps involved
  3. If it takes a long time to close the ME, is it OK to have some overlap between closing the ME and starting the SARL or does the ME have to be completely closed?
  4. Will he get some confirmation when the ME is closed (through the post, or online?)
