Change from auto-entrepreneur to enterprise individual reel simplifie?

Currently registered as a professional liberal with three clients in France but a new customer is going to push me well over the limits so I think I need to change to the enterprise individual reel simplifie? I don’t want to start a EURL or SASU.

What are the steps for making the change and importantly, would the new level of contributions apply to future earnings or be backdated to the start of the year?
