Carte vitale entitlement?

At the moment my husband and I have separate carte vitale but both are due to expire at the end of this year as issued under the UK S1. I intend to register shortly as an auto-entrepreneur and understand that my carte vitale will be renewed. A friend has recently become an auto-entrepreneur and believes that her husband will be entitled to a carte vitale as well as herself. Is this correct?
