Can you tell me what is the minimum hours contract you can work and get on the French system with i.e. get carte vitale and is there a minimum time you have to work to be able to apply for carte vitale e.g. 3 months? and how do I apply for a French social security number? Does the employer do it when a contract is signed or do I have to apply for it myself? (need to decided what type of contract to go on as being given the option to choose!)
