Capital gains tax liability in France?

We are thinking about letting our main home in France as a furnished holiday let when we are visiting relatives, firends or travelling. Is it most tax efficient to register this activity in the auto-entrepreneur system? I believe there is no Capital Gains Tax and social secuirty payment on the sale of one’s main home in France, but If it has been used as a furnished let under the auto-entrepreneur scheme and we later sell our main home and ceased to be in the auto-entrepreneur scheme will there be a liability for capital gains tax and social security payment on this property?
