Can you explain what AG2R La Mondiale is?

I have received a letter from AG2R La Mondiale, I believe this is not some scam thing like the many others I have received. I understand it is something to do with retirement, and it says that I am obliged to adhere to an organisation for complimentary pension even if I employ no one. They say they are 1 of 2 companies for my area PACA for agric and arrco. It only talks about Artisinal and Commercant. I am registered as Liberales have chosen CIPAV and RAM. I guess I just need conformation of who this company is, if I have to sign up with them, what this means, are there any payments to make and what my options are?
