Can I register as auto-entrepreneur to sell frozen food?

I want to sell frozen foods in France imported from the UK. I have been advised to set up as a SARL - but for the first year I am keen to keep costs to a minimum - not knowing of course if the business will be successful. Therefore is it possible to run this type of business as an auto-entrepreneur?
