Can an auto-entrepreneur manage a hair salon business?

I am buying a fond de commerce for a hair salon in France. I plan to take on the lease with rent paid by me to the proprietor. The fond de commerce is agreed with the current coiffeuse who wants to sell. I have a coiffeuse friend who is a qualified hairdresser, who wants to run and manage the new salon.

Can she work in the salon as an auto-entrepreneur, or under any other form of work contract, managing and running the salon? Any money she makes is hers to keep.
Or do I have to employ her simply because I am the lease holder?

My interest is simply to help my friend by buying the fond de commerce. She can pay me back the monthly lease plus some agreed amount as return on my investment.
