Can an auto-entrepreneur be paid via cheque d’emploi?

My husband has set up under the auto-entrepreneur system under 43.39z and someone has asked him if he can do some gardening but wants to pay him under the cheque d’emploi service. Can this be done under the code he has set up on under the auto-entrepreneur scheme or does this not have any relevance. Would it mean he has to register for this regime or complete any paperwork for whatever he receives in payment as I understand it the person he works for pays the tax on top?
