Can an auto-entrepreneur add a second business as a limited sole trader?

I have run a auto-entrepreneur business for five years and now want to start a separate business in France in the marine support sector. I want to continue with my existing electrical business but keep it separate from the marine support business. Can I run two businesses because they are very different and with the marine business I need the protection of being limited to protect my own liability. What is the fairest scheme I can go on bearing in mind it is a start up business with which there is no guaranteed income at this stage.
