Can a musician be a micro entrepreneur in France

I think I read somewhere that musicians can’t be micro-entrepreneurs. Is that right?

Could you please outline a musician’s business and social security, etc, and what support is available for them in Paris? I believe there’s support (guidance, tax advice etc) for visual artists, but I haven’t found similar for musicians.
