calculating business profit as an entreprenuer individuelle

I’m running a small business that publishes books in the UK and mentors writers. My son owns the UK part of the business and pays UK taxes and I run the online work and am registered in France. I pay cotisations for myself and my husband as a conjoint collaborateur. I’m trying to keep on top of the finances through the year with a clearer idea of costs and income and profit in each quarter as my acccountant does not provide quarterly reports. This year’s cotisation payments cover last year’s profits plus some payment towards next year.
My question is, when I’m calculating profits for each quarter, should I take off the cotisation paid as an expense?
Thank you
