Business structure for art and ceramics in France?

As we’ve already discussed my partner is setting up an auto-entrepreneur for a small retail business with the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI) here in France. She also would eventually like to set up producing and selling ceramics and perhaps paintings as well and this will hopefully become the main part of her income. She plans to produce unique pieces.

I understand there is a separate structure for artists in France, would it be advantageous (or even possible) for her to be taxed as an artist rather than be under chambre des metiers?
