Can you clarify the rules as to whether a gite and chambre d’hotes business in France needs to be registered officially as a micro bic / auto-entrepreneur (liable to greater social charges) as opposed to just being registered via the impots form (I am a French resident). Is it the case that if the gite is forecast to be less than 50 percent of total income and bring in a CA of less than 23,000 euros that declaring through the impots is sufficient?
