Business name and DBA name?

We are starting a company using a company name and several doing business as names (noms commercial) for our websites. I have already bought the URLs on the internet for .fr and .com for these names and checked online google searches etc for the names I have done the free checks on the site INPI and also Infogreffe. My accountant says a name can’t be too close in meaning or spelling to an existing company, what does that mean? She said Coup de Foudre would be seen as the same as Coup de Coeur seems very limiting. Surely there would be no available business names left in France if that were the case.

I have the URLs for the names Tourmalet Traders, Tourmalet Velos and Tourmalet Bike Rentals. I see on infogreffe there is a company called Tourmalet in our region that fabricates bikes. It does not appear to be an active company and has not submited accounts for the past 2 years. First, surely that is not too close a name? Second, how can I check if this company is still active? I can find no trace of it online or in yellow pages. If it is not active can I use the name? The name is not even the same name and we are renting bikes not making them.

For one of our other names I have found one company that has a similar name. This was registered in 2008 and there is no trace of it anywhere online or in yellow pages I own the URL for this name for .com and .fr. The address is just a residential address in the suburbs on the other side of France. I have paid for the check to see if the company is dissolved and am still waiting. is there any other way to check if the company is still active? I also checked Societe.com and Bodacc.com and found no record of the companies.
