British national as a stagiaire?

I would like to have a British national come to help me out for about 12 hours a week as a stagiaire for about three months. In return I could give board and lodging and pocket money. Am I allowed to do this? My business has only been going for a year and a half and I can’t afford to pay someone an official salary. I want a native English speaker because I am a language centre.
