Bookkeeping as an auto-entrepreneur?

Whilst I know that as an auto-entrepreneur I am not able to claim expenses would I be correct in thinking that I should be keeping my petrol receipts, receipts issued by the placier, costs for materials etc. To date I have kept some but because I am unable to claim expenses did not consider it important to keep every item relating to costs. I will of course start keeping all expense receipts etc. if it is something I should be doing, and hope it will not go against me. I have to date been keeping all invoices concerning purchasing stock.


Why is it necessary to keep all receipts etc. if I am unable to claim expenses? Are there people employed to carry out checks of auto-entrepreneur’s paperwork to ensure compliance?
