Best way to register a gite and website design?

We aim to run our gite as a small business and as such wish to register under the auto-entrepreneur scheme. I recently attempted to register on-line, but reached the point where I was asked for my SIREN number. I thought I would receive this after registration, have I misunderstood? Do I need to visit my Chamber of Commerce to register in person before I register on-line?

Also, my partner provides computer support, software solutions etc. I have read that for very different activities you should select the one that is likely to make most money and make that your primary category. But should we register as separate auto-entrepreneur’s or jointly? We are not married. Is one or other route more or less beneficial - or neutral?
