Auto-entrepreneur tax due within how many days?

I’m still waiting to receive my first request to declare turnover figures since setting up as an auto-entrepreneur on 1/4/2013. Based upon comments on this forum I’m anticipating that this will come in form of a letter first and then following this I submit monthly on-line. Within how many days will the charges be due for any given period? Do they give you for example 14 or 28 days to pay?

I am currently offering a discount on a product I sell whereby the customer can benefit from a discount by paying 50% upfront and then the remaining 50% once the item is shipped to them. Effectively their deposit pays for the purchase from the supplier and I make the 50% margin on their final payment. If the deposit falls in one month and the final payment falls in the following month (finalising the sale), which month does the declaration fall in? Do I have to declare the deposit and then the remaining 50% or the full 100% in the month the deposit was paid as if the product had been fully paid for, or only when the full 100% has been received which may be the following month?

Also what happens in the event of refunds where a sale has been made in one month, a declaration made and the following month a refund is given for whatever reason?
