Auto-entrepreneur business or conjoint collaborateur?

We currently have a camping business in France, registered under my husband as auto-entrepreneur in 2010. I am currently sans activite. I was conjoint collaborateur but was advised by an accountant to stop as it cost too much in social charge. We both receive revenu de solidarité active (RSA), I receive RSA Socle and my husband prime d’activite.

  1. We are opening a gite next year and would like to know the best business option, should I become auto-entrepreneur for the gite or should we put it under the camping business and I become conjoint collaborateur?
  2. What would be the cheapest option in paying social charges?
  3. How would this affect our benefits?
