Auto-entreprener or micro-entreprise?
I am thinking of setting up a business selling cake and coffee from a van at local fetes and festivals in France, all the cooking will be done at home, which I am already looking into. I am going to be setting this venture up on my own and would like to know if I should opt for the auto-entrepreneur or the micro-entreprise.
This morning I had someone round to quote for solar-heating, he said that in order to get tax relief on this I would have to be registered as one or the other in order to qualify. The thing is at some point I will be doing the business venture, but don’t want to be hammered for tax if the business isn’t going to be up and running until nearer the end of the year.
He seems to think that registering before September is important as it is going to be made a lot more difficult to do so after September, he also said that I should just register and if I’m not earning yet then I won’t have to pay anything.
