As an auto-entrepreneur can I employ someone?

I am registered as auto-entrepreneur and my business has absolutely taken off and I would like to employ someone for a couple of months on a CDD just to help out, I don’t think there is any danger of me going over the threshold just yet as there is a certain amount of seasonal influence. What is the best way to do this please?
I don’t want to change regime just yet as I want to be sure this is not just a blip. The person I want to employ may struggle to register as auto-entrepreneur because he hasn’t quite got proof of the relevant experience he would need to show.
