AE - can I also work part-time as an employee?

I am a micro enterprise and I have 4 or 5 regular clients.
One of these has suggested that they would like to employ me part-time on a regular monthly salary. I am assuming that as a ME I can’t undertake a set amount of work for a set sum of money each month and they would thus have to offer me a CDD or CDI and pay social charges - would this be correct?
Also, if I were employed part-time on a CDD or CDI, could I also run my ME business for my other clients? Is this permitted to hold both statuses part-time; and would it have implications for my turnover as a ME?
I just want to clarify what is legally permissible, before I assess whether it would actually be a good idea for me personally!
