How to set up a Procuration bancaire

Hello, I am going to help my stepmother run our property in France. Part of this will mean helping her paying bills as part of rentals. I have been advised that all I will need is a Procuration on her French bank account and that I need to visit her bank with her to set this up. Is this correct and if so what documents do I need to take with me to set this up? Thanks, Ed
