  1. What is the best business structure for a seasonal airport taxi/transfer company operating with a vehicle up to 9 seats including driver in France? Estimated turnover is around 25,000 euros and 9,000 euros expenses.
  2. What is the most suitable tax regime for this type of activity?
  3. Business expenses for transfer company - to charge VAT or not?
  4. Taxes and social charges rates - how much (%) and how often will I have to pay them?
  5. Will I also have to pay them during the rest of the year (monthly or quarterly?) even if there’s no income?
  6. Will other potential income from other EU countries be taxed in France (will I be considered a French tax resident even if I don’t live in France for 183 days?)
  7. Do I need to have an accountant if I’m auto-entrepreneur or other form of entreprise individuelle?
  8. What would be the approx. cost of accountancy for such a simple seasonal activity?
  9. How long does the whole procedure take?
  10. How much will the business registration cost (together with the transport license cost)?
  11. Is the rental contract enough as a proof of address or as an EU national I must apply for a residence card and card vitale first?
  12. Do I need to have a till and/or credit card terminal installed in my vehicle if I plan to take bookings mostly online (plus email and phone) but also give customers an option to pay cash on arrival? Or can I just use some online payment provider which could be linked to my booking system?
  13. What about invoicing - can I just create an invoice in PDF format and email it to my customers? Can I use any online invoicing software or there are some restrictions in France?
  14. Are there any restrictions for transport activity?
  15. License requirements & procedure for transport company operating with vehicles up to 9-seats?
  16. Are there any restrictions regarding the vehicle’s age? Does it have to be younger than 10 years?
  17. I’d like to start advertising online as soon as possible - can I start after application or do I need to wait till I actually receive the license?
  18. Does the vehicle have to be registered and insured in France or it can be done in another EU country (since the business activity is seasonal and the car will be in France for less than 183 days per year)?
