How do I get approval to sell a skin cream in France?

I make a food supplement, a massage cream and a skin cream which I assume needs to be approved in France, as it would in the UK. How do I go about getting approval for the cream? I am having a preparation room built at the moment with stainless steel preparation areas - would that also need to be inspected and approved, and if so, how?
