Has my naf code barred me from auto-entrepreneur status?

I have been informed by URSAAF that my recently changed code, now 7990z, has barred me from auto-entrepreneur status. I am now being treated as independent worker with associated charges. I am already receiving bills for 2014 and extra bills for 2013.

I changed the code with INSEE on the grounds it suited my occupation, guide touristique, better and would see me taxed as profession liberale as opposed to commercant as with the old code.

I thought I could practice as a guide in the auto-entrepreneur scheme, it is definitely the appropriate code, and I know others who have it too. Could there be a misunderstanding at URSAAF? I started in May 2013.
