Do CPAM administer healthcare?

We’re a little confused regarding CPAM and wondered if anyone could help. My hubby and I were having our healthcare sorted through them as we had E106s from UK. Once my husband became an auto-entrepreneur, I understand that his association take over? Do CPAM still administer everything though, or should we go through them?
