Closest structure to auto-entrepreneur for a protected nom commercial?

Following my question regarding having a nom commercial as an auto-entrepreneur and your reply, this is the answer I received from the CCI after receiving my SIRET and inquiring about the same issue:
Le statut de l’auto-entrepreneur ne prévoit pas de nom commercial, pas d’inscription au rcs, vous recevez un numéro siren de l’insee justifiant votre immatriculation légale.
Consequently, I now am looking into options for a different forme juridique as I wish to have a legally protected nom commercial. Would EURL be the next best option, and what would be the main differences between that and an auto-entrepreneur?
