I’m faced with having to make choice for a company in France to be set up. Business turnover will be over 100,000 euros. Me and my spouse working in the company.

  1. SAS (société par actions simplifiée) or SARL (société à responsabilité limitée) Famille: benefits and downsides with respective choice? What applies for example for the various social charges in respective case?
  2. In the case of choosing incorporation tax method: are all salaries deducted from the net profit before calculating tax (also the gerant’s)?
  3. How are the dividends taxed in my personal income tax calculation? I saw 12% being mentioned somewhere? Is the dividend taxation affected by the capital social size?
  4. As the business is located in a rural area I understand there will be a five year elimination of the corporate tax applicable. Does this apply also to the taxation of the dividends in the company?
