Elaine: If I want to start a Property Search Agency (not an Agence Immobiliere), do I require a Carte Professionelle ? I will not be advertising or offering houses for sale, but simply searching for property according to the client criteria and then handing the ‘sale’ over to the estate agency. Is there anyone that can advise me ?
Valerie: As far as I am aware, you will still require a carte professionnelle, as you will be considered as an agent commercial. Contact your local Prefecture or sous-prefecture who should be able to advise you as they do issue the cartes professionnelles.
