Can I register as an auto-entrepreneur and invoice my UK limited company?

We have a UK limited company through which my husband provides occasional consultancy support in the UK. If his company pays the relevant corporation taxes in the UK, can he set up as an auto-entrepreneur in France and invoice the UK limited company as and when he has completed any work. He would then anticipate paying tax under the auto-entrepreneur regime in France where we both live. I have registered as an auto-entrepreneur through which I run my gite business, is this the most appropriate taxation regime to work under.
